it started with hand holding and shoulder nuzzling

as they wandered through the open air farmer’s marketplace

but when the devil in her wanted out

she leaned to him when he was looking at fresh wares

took his nipple in her teeth through his shirt

and bit and tugged and growled

it took a fisted tug of her hair to get her to release

and from then on all bets of propriety were off

they’d wait sometimes for politely eyeing passers-by
